Help Kids in Our Community
Once again, we are collecting school supplies for less fortunate children in our area. We will be delivering much needed school supplies to Red Rock Elementary the week before school starts. So pick up a few extra school supply items and drop them off at the church. The last day to bring them will be Wednesday, August 18.
Movin' Out the Old, Movin' in the New
Church seating, that is! Those of you who have committed to taking one or more of the old pews, please plan to pick them up after the morning church service Sunday, August 22. This will allow us to have the new, padded chairs delivered and in place for the following Sunday service. If you are unable to take the pew(s) on the 22nd, please talk to one of the pastors to make special arrangements.
5th Sunday Singing Rolls Around Again
Come be a blessing and be blessed at our 5th Sunday Singing on August 29. Music is a form of worship, praise and learning, just as the regular preaching service is. You are missing out if you are not in attendance and you are also short changing those who come to sing. They need your support and encouragement, smiling and singing along. We start at 11 am, stop for lunch (by the way, bring a side dish or dessert and plan to eat with us), and then we sing until we've all sung out. Don't miss out on a good time in the Lord!
Are You Being Called?
Do you feel you ought to be doing more for the Lord? Do you wonder how you can give back to Him for the sacrifice He made for you? Is the Lord calling you into service for Him? Consider some of the opportunities right at your home church. We need additional workers in all children's ministry areas, from nursery to Sunday School, to Children's Church to Wednesday nights. Pray about it and see if God says you are right for the job. Even if you don't feel qualified, if God is calling you, HE will provide what you need when you need it. If you are being called to help educate our kiddos with the knowledge of the Lord, please see Barbara. WE NEED YOU!!!
